Entry Procedures to Saudi Arabia via Bahrain (By Taxi)

Crossing the border from Bahrain to Saudi Arabia via the King Fahd Causeway using a cross-border taxi service is a smooth and convenient option. For South Korean passport holders, entering Saudi Arabia requires only a valid passport and a credit/debit card for the Visa on Arrival fee.

When taking a taxi from Bahrain, it is highly recommended to book a taxi that takes you directly into Dammam city. This avoids the hassle of transferring vehicles at the border and provides a seamless journey all the way to your final destination.

Essential Requirements

  1. Passport (Must be valid for at least 6 months)
  2. Credit or Debit Card (For Visa on Arrival payment — cash is generally not accepted)

Taxi Fare & Negotiation Tips

  • Agree on the Fare Before Departure: Always negotiate and confirm the total fare with the driver before getting into the taxi.
  • Estimated Cost: Fares typically range between 300 and 500 SAR (or equivalent in BHD) for a trip from Bahrain to Dammam.
  • Price Factors: The exact price depends on your negotiation, peak hours, traffic conditions on the causeway, and overall demand.

Border Crossing & Entry Process

All immigration and customs checks take place at the Island Passport Control on the King Fahd Causeway. By taking a cross-border taxi, passengers only need to focus on their personal immigration while the driver handles the vehicle and customs procedures.
